No restocking fee on your first return
For context: most scan tool companies see 15–25% of units come back. Ours is 3%. We would rather you test the tool properly on your own vehicle than spend hundreds of dollars wondering whether you made a mistake.
How a Return Works
It comes down to three steps:
- Reach out within 31 days of delivery — call 1-888-959-4265, email support@youcanic.com, or use the form at the bottom of this page.
- We reply with your return instructions and, if you would prefer, a prepaid return shipping label for easy drop-off. **Shipping label price will be deducted from your total refund. US customers only.
- Send the item back, and once we have it, we'll issue your refund.
The Details
Condition
Open box is completely fine. In fact, we expect it. You cannot know whether a scanner suits you without plugging it into your car, running a full system scan, and trying the bi-directional tests. That is the whole point of the return window.
To qualify for a full refund, the item needs to come back in good condition — meaning not severely damaged — and complete with everything that came in the box. For a scanner, that means the tablet, the VCI adapter, all charging and connection accessories, and the original carrying case.
Getting your return on its way
Once our team sends your label, please try to get the item in transit back to us within about a week. That keeps your refund on track. If life gets in the way, just tell us — we are not going to void your return over a few days.
When you will see your money
As soon as your return reaches us and passes a quick check, we issue your refund within 24 hours to your original payment method. From there, your bank usually takes 2 to 3 business days to show up in your account.
Restocking fee
Your first return is always free, with no restocking fee at all. If you order the same product again and return it a second time, a 10% restocking fee applies.
International orders
International customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Our system does not allow us to create prepaid shipping labels for international orders.
If an international order is refused or goes unclaimed, whether because of unpaid duties and taxes or a change of mind, we can only issue your refund once the carrier returns the product to us. In that situation, the original shipping charge is not refunded, and a 10% restocking fee applies.
Returns and warranty are two different things
The 31-day return is for any reason at all, including simply changing your mind.
Your 1-year warranty covers defects, and it does not expire when the return window closes. If something fails in month six, call or email us, and we will repair or replace it.
Shipping
We ship every business day from our own warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland. Orders placed before 2 PM Eastern go out the same day.
International orders ship at a discounted rate. Duties and VAT depend on your country and will be collected on delivery.
