The Lokithor JTC4250 is a 4250 A lithium iron phosphate jump starter rated for gasoline engines up to 10.0 liters and diesels up to 8.0 liters. The same box runs starting, charging and battery health tests, works as a 6 A smart charger and maintainer, and doubles as an 89.6 Wh power bank with 60 W USB-C in and out. It is made by Lokithor, not by us; we sell it because nothing in our own line does all four jobs.

Four Jobs, One Box
1. Jump starter
4250 A peak and 3000 A starting current for gasoline engines up to 10.0 L and diesels up to 8.0 L on 12 V systems. The smart clamp checks for a solid connection and blocks reverse polarity and sparks before any current flows. Lithium iron phosphate chemistry tolerates heat and cold better than ordinary lithium packs and is rated for more than 2000 charge cycles.
2. Battery tester
Clip it to a 12 V lead acid battery and run a battery health test (state of health, voltage and internal resistance), a starting test and a charging system test. Results show on the tilted display, and the Lokithor phone app reads them over Bluetooth so you can save and share a report.
3. Charger and maintainer
Plugged into the wall, it charges and maintains 6 V and 12 V lead acid and LiFePO4 batteries at up to 6 A, with a repair mode for sulfated batteries, a force mode that will charge a battery too flat for a normal charger to recognize, and a power mode that feeds 12 V to external devices.
4. Power bank and light
89.6 Wh through a 60 W two way USB-C port (5 to 20 V at 3 A) and a Quick Charge 3.0 USB-A port. That is laptop charging on a job site, and it means the unit itself refills from a 60 W USB-C charger in 1 to 1.5 hours. A 300 lumen LED light has steady, flash and SOS modes.
How A Jump Works
- Plug the smart clamp cable into the unit.
- Red clamp on the battery positive post, black clamp on the negative post or a bare metal ground. If the clamps are reversed the unit refuses to deliver current and tells you; there is no spark.
- Wait for the ready signal, then start the engine. If it does not catch, pause and try again rather than cranking continuously.
- Remove the clamps once the engine runs, black first.
- Run the battery test before you drive off if the car has needed more than one jump lately. The reason it died is still there.

Keeping It Ready
- • Top it up every few months if it has not been used. With 60 W USB-C input that is about an hour.
- • Temperature. Rated to operate from minus 20 to 60 degrees C (minus 4 to 140 degrees F), which is why a LiFePO4 pack is the one to leave in the truck.
- • Flying. At 89.6 Wh it is under the 100 Wh limit most airlines apply to spare batteries in carry on baggage. Carry on only, never checked, and confirm with your airline.
- • Dust and rain. IP65 rated, so a wet engine bay is not a problem. Do not submerge it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is 4250 A enough when your own jump starter says 6000 A?
Peak amps are a marketing number. The figure that matters is the engine rating, and both units are rated for 10.0 L gasoline and 8.0 L diesel engines. The Lokithor also publishes a 3000 A starting current, which is the sustained figure during cranking. Either one starts any car or full size pickup.
What does the battery test actually tell me?
Whether the battery is healthy (state of health, voltage and internal resistance), whether it is cranking the starter the way it should, and whether the alternator is charging it. It answers the question a jump starter cannot: why did the car die, and will it die again.
Can it charge a dead battery, not just jump it?
Yes, from wall power, at up to 6 A. The force mode charges a battery that is too flat for a normal charger to detect, and the repair mode works on sulfated batteries that have sat. It will not bring back a battery with a dead cell; the tester will tell you when that is the case.
Will it charge my laptop?
Yes, through the 60 W USB-C port. 89.6 Wh is roughly one full charge of a typical laptop or several phone charges.
Why lithium iron phosphate instead of regular lithium?
LiFePO4 is more stable in heat, holds up over far more cycles (rated for over 2000) and is less bothered by living in a vehicle year round. The trade off is a heavier unit for the same energy: 5.3 lb against about half that for an ordinary lithium pack.
Can I take it on a plane?
In carry on baggage, yes, as a spare battery under 100 Wh. Never in checked baggage. Check your airline's rules before you fly.
