El adaptador 12+8 se utiliza para omitir el módulo de puerta de enlace de seguridad de vehículos (SGM) de FCA, que limita una herramienta de escaneo no original a solo leer DTC y ver datos.

La mayoría de los vehículos FCA 2018 y más nuevos incluyen un módulo de puerta de enlace de seguridad.
