An Acura runs on Honda electronics, which is good news: the same PGM-FI engine module, the same VSA and ABS units, the same body electrical groups and the same service routines, with a few extras like SH-AWD and the memory seats. The parts store code reader still sees the engine and nothing else. Frequently Asked Questions

Does my Acura need an adapter?

No. Every Acura in the coverage database uses the standard 16 pin port under the dash, and the UCAN-II Pro plugs straight in. Nothing else to buy.

Will it bleed the VSA modulator on my MDX after a brake line replacement?

Yes. The bleeding routine cycles the front and rear solenoids on the Bosch VSA and ABS units so the trapped air comes out, which is the step a bleeder bottle cannot do. The ABS bleeding guide explains the routine.

Can I do rear pads on a TLX or RDX with the electric parking brake?

Yes. Brake pad maintenance mode retracts the parking brake motors so the pistons can be pushed back, then releases the mode when you are done. The parking brake guide walks through it.

Does it program keys or immobilizers?

No. Key and immobilizer programming need the Honda server through i-HDS. The UCAN-II Pro does diagnosis, live data, function tests, inspections and the service routines listed above.
