Symptom, Then The Routine That Fixes It

• ABS and VSC lights after an alignment, a steering rack or a sensor: Reset Memory, Test Mode and Signal Check in ABS/VSC/TRAC, plus Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Calibration.
• Spongy pedal after a brake actuator, line or caliper job on a hybrid: Air Bleeding, B1 Air Bleeding and ECB Utility on the brake modules.
• Hybrid battery warning or a weak stack: Battery Diagnosis and Normal Battery Stack Average Voltage Calculation in Hybrid Control, then Battery Status Info Reset after the battery is replaced.
• Air suspension sitting low or uneven after a strut or height sensor: Height Sensor Initialization in the Air Suspension module.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can it check the hybrid battery on my RX or ES hybrid before I buy a replacement?

The Lexus function list includes Battery Diagnosis, Battery Status Info Update and Normal Battery Stack Average Voltage Calculation in the Hybrid Control module, so you see what the car thinks of each stack before you spend money. Check your exact model and year first.

Will it bleed the brakes on a Lexus hybrid after a brake actuator or line replacement?

Yes. Air Bleeding, B1 Air Bleeding and ECB Utility are listed for the brake systems, which is how you get the air out of an electronically controlled brake system without a dealer visit. The ABS bleeding guide explains it.

The VSC and ABS lights came on after an alignment. Can it do the zero point calibration?

Yes. Reset Memory, Test Mode and Signal Check in the ABS/VSC/TRAC module, plus Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Calibration, are the zero point routine for the yaw rate and deceleration sensors, the usual fix after steering or suspension work.

Does it program keys or smart keys?

No. Key programming needs the Lexus server through Techstream. The UCAN-II Pro does diagnosis, live data, active tests, calibrations and the service functions listed above.

Can I rent it for one job?
