Need One TPMS Sensor And No Tool To Program It? Send Us The ID. We Ship It Ready.

A dead tire pressure sensor normally means a trip to a shop with a programming tool. With this service you send us the sensor ID and frequency from your original sensor, we program a new YOUCANIC U360 sensor to match it, and it arrives ready for a tire shop to mount. On many vehicles the car sees the sensor it already knows and no relearn is needed.

We Cannot Program Or Ship Without The Sensor ID And Frequency

Put the following in the order notes at checkout, or email it to support@youcanic.com with your order number right after you order. One set of answers for each sensor you buy.

  • Vehicle year, make and model
  • The original sensor ID, copied exactly as printed or displayed
  • ID format, hexadecimal or decimal, if you know it
  • Frequency: 315 MHz or 433 MHz
  • Wheel position: left front, right front, left rear, right rear
  • Valve: black rubber, black metal or silver metal

Do not guess the ID or the frequency. A wrong digit, a hex ID typed as decimal, or the wrong frequency means the car never sees the sensor, and a sensor programmed from wrong information cannot be returned as new. If anything is missing we email you and the order waits. If we cannot program a compatible sensor for your vehicle, we cancel the order and refund it in full.

How It Works

  1. Find the ID and frequency of the sensor you are replacing (two ways to do that below).
  2. Order one service per sensor and give us the details in the order notes or by email.
  3. We program a new YOUCANIC U360 with your ID and frequency and fit the valve you chose.
  4. It ships to you programmed. Nothing to pair, nothing to set.
  5. A tire shop mounts it inside the wheel and balances the tire. Installation is not included and the tire normally has to come off the rim.
  6. Drive. On many vehicles the car recognizes the cloned ID straight away. Some vehicles still want a relearn drive or a pressure reset; see the FAQ.

How To Find Your Original Sensor ID

Read it off the old sensor

The ID is printed or engraved on the sensor body, which sits inside the wheel, so the tire has to be broken off the bead first. Photograph the label and send the photo with your order. It is the surest way to get every character right.

Read it with a scanner

A UCAN-II Pro, or an earlier UCAN-II-A, B or C, can display the IDs the car has stored. The menu varies by vehicle; the usual path is Control Units, then TPMS, then Live Data, where you will see an ID per wheel position and often the frequency. Not every vehicle shows the frequency; if yours does not, take it from the old sensor or its part number.

Why the frequency matters as much as the ID. Direct TPMS runs at 315 MHz or 433 MHz. The U360 can do either, but it is programmed to one, and a sensor on the wrong frequency is invisible to the car no matter how perfect the ID is.

When Cloning Is The Right Call, And When It Is Not

Good fit

  • ✅ One sensor died (battery, corrosion, a snapped valve) and you can get its ID. The car keeps the ID it knows.
  • ✅ A winter or summer wheel set. Clone the four IDs from the car and swap wheels each season without reprogramming. Only one set goes on the car at a time; store the other away from the vehicle.
  • ✅ Used wheels with unknown sensors. Fresh sensors, known IDs, new batteries.
  • ✅ A small shop or fleet that does not want to buy a TPMS programmer for an occasional job.

Not the right tool

  • ✖ The IDs are gone. Sensors missing and the module shows nothing? There is nothing to clone. A tire shop with a TPMS tool can fit plain U360 sensors and register new IDs to the car.
  • ✖ You just want four new sensors and the shop will relearn anyway. Buy the plain U360 set and let the shop program them; cloning adds nothing in that case.
  • ✖ A guessed ID. If you are not certain of every character, stop and get the photo or the scanner readout first.

Choose Your Valve

  • • Black rubber, snap in. The factory look on most passenger car steel and alloy wheels.
  • • Black metal, clamp in. For black, graphite and dark finished wheels.
  • • Silver metal, clamp in. For silver, polished and most factory alloy wheels.

Check that the valve style suits your wheel before you order; the installer will thank you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my car accept the cloned sensor without a relearn?

On many vehicles, yes: the car sees the ID it already has on file and carries on. Some vehicles still want their usual procedure after a sensor change, such as a relearn drive, a pressure reset or a wheel position relearn. We cannot promise that every vehicle skips that step, so keep your owner's manual procedure in mind.

How exact does the ID have to be?

Exact. Every character, and the right format. Many IDs are hexadecimal; typing one as decimal produces a different number. Send a photo of the sensor label or a photo of the scanner screen and we will read it ourselves.

Can I order four for a winter wheel set?

Yes. Set the quantity to four and give us the ID and position for each wheel. The winter set then carries the same IDs the car already knows. Never have both sets near the car at once; the car cannot tell two sensors with one ID apart.

Can you read the ID for me?

We can read it from a clear photo of the old sensor or of your scanner's TPMS live data screen. We cannot look it up from the VIN; the IDs are unique to the sensors, not to the car.

Which scanners show the stored IDs?

The UCAN-II Pro and the earlier UCAN-II-A, B and C display them on supported vehicles under the TPMS control unit's live data. Many other full system scanners do too. A basic code reader usually does not.

The sensors are missing and the module shows no IDs. Can you help?

Not with cloning, because there is nothing to copy. Buy plain U360 sensors and have a tire shop with a TPMS tool program and register them to the car.

When does it ship?

As soon as we have complete, usable information for every sensor on the order. If something is missing or does not add up, we email you first and the order waits for your answer.

What if it does not work on my car?

Call us with the vehicle, the ID you supplied and what the dash shows. If the sensor is defective we replace it under warranty. If the information supplied with the order was wrong, a new sensor has to be programmed and purchased, which is why we ask you not to guess.
