A Pontiac is a GM car underneath: the same module layout, the same Special Functions menu and the same Active Test list as the Chevrolet it shares a platform with, and the GM coverage database behind the UCAN-II Pro still lists Pontiac as a brand in its 2003 and 2008 model year folders. The tools below are what we use in our own shop in Maryland to reach every module on a G6, G8, Grand Prix, Vibe, Solstice or Torrent, run the relearns after a repair, and clear the lights a parts store code reader cannot touch. Service Functions By Job On A Pontiac

On the tablet you pick the control unit, then the function category, then the routine. On the 2001 to 2010 GM platforms the categories are Special Functions (learns and resets) and Active Test (bidirectional tests). Frequently Asked Questions

Does the UCAN-II Pro still cover a Pontiac now that the brand is gone?

Yes. Pontiac lives inside the GM coverage database, under the GM brand folder for its model year, with the same module list and the same Special Functions as the Chevrolet and Saturn models it was built alongside. The Chevrolet page shows the wider GM function list.

Will it do the crankshaft variation relearn on my G6 or Grand Prix after a crank sensor?

Yes. Crankshaft Position (CKP) variation learn is in the Engine control module's Special Functions on the 2008 G6 in the database, and it is the routine that clears the learn required code after a sensor, chain or engine job. Check your year and engine in the coverage checker first.

Can it bleed the ABS on my Vibe or Torrent after a brake line?

Yes. Automated bleed is in the Electronic brake control module's Special Functions, and the ABS bleeding guide walks through the pedal and valve sequence.

Does it program Pontiac keys or key fobs?

No. Key and fob programming and module flashing need the GM server. The UCAN-II Pro does diagnosis, live data, active tests and the special functions listed above.
